An ‘almost hidden’ gem of a beach found nestled at the end of the rolling hills of Wicklow’s Black Castle. A relatively small and tranquil beach offering plenty of opportunities for swimming, bathing, or simply quiet reflection.
According to local lore, St. Patrick’s boat landed at Travelahawk beach before he was pelted with stones by furious Wicklow locals.
Travelahawk Beach has also been featured as a viking settlement in the hit TV series, Vikings.
