Online Feasibility Survey for a Youth & Community Arts Centre

Wicklow Town Team have commissioned a feasibility study to explore the idea of developing a Youth & Community Arts Centre in the town. This study is being conducted by Wicklow-based arts development agency Arts Leaders Associates, who have designed a survey to gather the ideas, insights and ambitions of Wicklow residents and arts/community groups.

This is a unique opportunity to help develop and shape the future of the arts and cultural landscape of Wicklow Town, as the responses from this survey will directly inform the findings of this report.

Whether you’re involved in youth/community arts groups already or if you just have an interest in the arts or the development of Wicklow Town, we want to hear from you.

The survey is open for anyone to complete, but we’re particularly interested in hearing from Wicklow Town residents and those involved in youth/community arts groups across all areas of Co. Wicklow.

Chairman of the Wicklow Town Team Dave Shannon said: A Youth & Community Arts Centre in Wicklow Town would be an invaluable local asset to the hundreds of talented young people, who are involved in dance, theatre and music groups in the town. There’s a vast array of talent in Wicklow and a dedicated creative space like this would offer a much-needed performance platform right here in Wicklow Town.”

This project is being driven by Wicklow Town Team, who are also looking for new members to join them in working on this initiative, as well as on other exciting projects for the town. If you are interested in getting involved in the group, please email wicklowtownteam@gmail.com.
