Wicklow RNLI Fundraising Branch launches Photo Competition
The RNLI Wicklow Town Fund Raising Committee is excited to announce a photo contest, open to all who love the awe-inspiring beauty and heritage of our picturesque town on the Irish Sea.
There are two submission themes, Wonderful Winter Wicklow and Wicklow Town – Between Sky and Sea.
The submission deadline is August 1st 2021 and digital colour images may be sent by email to WicklowPix@aol.com.
Full submission instructions, including FAQ’s, are available on the WicklowPix2021 Facebook Group, the Wicklow RNLI Fundraising Branch Facebook page, or by calling 089 220 5880.
Each photographer can submit up to three of their own images. 12 winners will be selected by a panel of local Wicklow RNLI Crew. Winning photographs will be feature on the front cover of our 2021 Christmas Cards, Note Cards and Postcards. Additionally, winners will receive a lovely framed print of their winning photograph as well as a gorgeous medal.
Jill Clancy Harrold, member and former Chair of the Wicklow RNLI Fundraising Committee said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for us to recognize the incredible talent of our local photographic community while supporting our Wicklow Town RNLI station. 100% of card sales will go directly to local station operations and all production costs have already been donated.
“We are hoping to be able to make a substantial contribution to our station on behalf of the Wicklow community’.
Gregg Fisher, also a member of the Fundraising Committee, is inspired by the Project: “Our Christmas Cards are sent all over the world, and this is a wonderful showcase for Wicklow Town and the photographers involved. I hope that everyone will check out Wicklowpix2021 for the submission instructions and FAQs, or call 089 220 5880 with any questions!”
