Wicklow County Council has published Proposed Variation No. 7, which includes additional land for residential development and an important provision requiring developers to deliver dedicated sports and recreational facilities as part of the development.

✅ It could help overcome the long-standing funding gap for sports facilities.

✅ The proposed zoning can meet the current space and facility needs of our local clubs.

✅ It provides additional community space for future growth.

✅ Most importantly, linking the delivery of facilities to the development gives us a real opportunity to ensure they are built and delivered — not simply promised.
