Christmas Begins in Wicklow Town

On Saturday, 23rd November at 4pm, everyone is invited to take a stroll down Wicklow Town’s main street for the annual Santa Parade and turning on of the Christmas lights.

With a special appearance from Santa Claus and performances from Wicklow Pipe Band,  Wicklow Community Choir and Robert Vickers it promises to be a treat filled family event.

 Santa Parade Start / Finish:         Market Square / Fitzwilliam Square

 Christmas Lights / Live Music:    Fitzwilliam Square

To ensure crowd safety, road closures (Main Street) will take effect from 4pm until 6pm – please leave sufficient time to park and walk to the Santa Parade.

Children must be accompanied by a parent / guardian at all times.

We are also delighted to announce that the Wicklow Christmas Market 2019 is back again and better than last year. They have the addition of a Santa Express experience this year where Oribel, their mischievous and fun elf will transport you on a magical journey aboard our Santa express train to Santa’s Wonderland. All of their  elves are childcare educated and fully trained SNA’s, who have been hand-picked by Mrs Claus from Ray of Sunshine childcare service.

The sensory Santa express train will run at 11am-12pm on Sunday 8th of December. Lights and music will be calmer although just as happy and festive. One carer goes free per booking.

K2 Apacas will be hosting an alpaca experience at our markets, where you get the chance to get up close to these beautiful creatures. They have the softest fleeces, but we’ll let you be the judge of that!

That’s not all… Wicklow Christmas Markets will have a magical funfair, live music and entertainment every weekend to enjoy this festive season, this is an event to be enjoyed by all the family.

There will be an abundance of fun and sparkly activities to get you and your
family in the Christmas spirit. We cannot wait to welcome you and see you at our Christmas Market this year. 

The Christmas Markets will be held this year on the 23rd, 24th & 30th of November and 1st, 7th, 8th, 14th & 15th of December from 12pm-6pm.
